Listened to these during my workout this week. Almost certain it doubled my power (at least).

Loving the variety of music in this newsletter, I can honestly say I have no idea what to expect next week.

Since I've started reading this as well I've picked up a copy of Kaufmann's basic writings of Nietzsche and just this week listened to the Ring cycle of Wagner, so it's safe to say my classical education is well underway.

I also have to mention that your passion for the music really comes through in your writing which is as admirable as it is rare these days.

Looking forward to the next one!

Thanks Conor. Looking forward to your comments each week.

Interesting that you mentioned the Ring of Nibelung. I was looking to write about leitmotifs as they appear in modern soundtracks, like Howard Shore's music for Lord of the Rings, and their connection to the late-romantic era. Wagner, of course, being a huge inspiration for the aforementioned masterpiece.

I think it's beyond me, in terms of expression, for now. But it's great that you've showed interest for such a massive composition. Eventually, I'll get to it!

Interesting I didn't know about that connection, the Lord Of The Rings soundtrack is incredible, one of the greatest.

Big fan of Jeremy Soule also in terms of modern composers, he created the soundtracks for the Elder Scrolls Series of games, and in terms of ambient music that can just play in the background and lift my mood he's my all time favorite.

Looking forward to seeing you tackle it! It's such a massive composition it was staggering when I first listened the whole way through.

Haha, oh the coincidence is that I've been on a Jeremy Soule kick lately, using the Elder Scrolls music as ambience.
